Last Train Home
Ella takes the last train home after dinner with a friend. She wears a red scarf because the night is cold. On the train, she takes it off and puts it beside her. At her stop, she leaves quickly.
An Empty Seat
A station worker walks through the train. He sees the red scarf on an empty seat. A small name card is tied inside it. The card says “Ella M.” The worker takes the scarf to the station lost-and-found desk.
The Morning Call
At home, Ella notices the scarf is gone. She calls the station in the morning. She describes its color and the name card. The desk worker says they have it. Ella writes down the desk number and opening time.
Found Again
After work, Ella goes to the station. She shows her photo card and signs a form. The worker gives her the scarf. Ella puts it around her neck at once. She is glad that her name was inside it.
