Use Language Cafe respectfully, lawfully, and with accurate account information.
These Terms apply to the Language Cafe website, mobile app, public reading pages, communities, live cafes, messaging features, and related support services.

Eligibility
You must be 13 or older and use a real, secure account.
Keep your details accurate, protect your login credentials, and only create accounts you are authorized to use.
Conduct
Harassment, impersonation, scams, and unauthorized recording are not allowed.
The service is built for language learning and community participation, not abuse, surveillance, or automation misuse.
Enforcement
We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend accounts to protect the platform.
Safety, legal compliance, and system integrity take priority over continued access when those values conflict.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Language Cafe.
- If local law requires parent or guardian permission because you are under the age of majority, you are responsible for obtaining that permission.
- You may not impersonate another person or create deceptive accounts.
- You may not share account access in a way that creates security risk or bypasses enforcement.
- Keep your sign-in methods, email address, phone number, and recovery options current enough to secure the account.
Prohibited behavior
- Harassment, stalking, threats, hate speech, or targeted intimidation
- Spam, scams, phishing, fraud, or deceptive promotions
- Impersonation or false claims of affiliation
- Sexual exploitation, grooming, or any illegal content
Technical abuse
- Scraping or bulk harvesting of profiles, messages, or reading content
- Botting, abusive automation, or attempts to bypass rate limits or gates
- Reverse engineering or interfering with security and reliability controls
- Using the service to distribute malware or evade moderation
Live cafe sessions may not be recorded, rebroadcast, or monitored without the clear consent of every participant and without any other permission required by law. That applies whether the room is public, community-linked, or invite-only.
Your ownership
- You retain rights to content you post or upload, subject to applicable law.
- You are responsible for making sure you have the right to share it.
- You remain responsible for your posts, messages, profile text, and uploads.
License to operate the service
- You grant Language Cafe a non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, format, transmit, and display your content as needed to run the product.
- This includes showing public reading pages, profile surfaces, community posts, and link previews where you chose public visibility.
- The license ends when content is deleted, except for limited retention needs.
Public reading pages are intended for discovery and sharing. Search engines and link preview tools may index or cache those pages, while certain app-only handoff pages remain non-indexed.
- We may review reports, support tickets, and account activity relevant to an issue.
- We may remove content, end conversations, restrict room access, or limit features.
- We may issue warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans.
- We may preserve or disclose information when reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or dispute handling.
- Features may change, pause, or be removed as the product develops.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.
- Language Cafe is for learning and communication. It is not professional, medical, legal, therapy, or emergency support.
- To the extent allowed by law, the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
- Account deletion guidance is available on the dedicated deletion page.
- Some records may remain for safety, legal, tax, fraud, or backup reasons.
- We may update these Terms as the service or legal requirements change.
- Material updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
