A Guest at the Door
A small orange cat sits outside a cafe. It looks through the glass door. Tia, who works there, puts a bowl of water outside. The cat drinks and stays near the door. It has a blue band around its neck.
A Name and Number
Tia looks at the blue band. A small card says “Milo.” There is also a phone number. Tia calls the number. A man answers and sounds worried. He says Milo left through an open window that morning.
Waiting Safely
The street is busy, so Tia carries Milo into the cafe office. The cat sits on a chair and washes its paws. Tia closes the office door. She gives Milo another little bowl of water while they wait.
Milo Goes Home
Ten minutes later, the man runs into the cafe. Milo jumps down from the chair. The man thanks Tia and holds the cat close. His home is only two streets away. Milo leaves in a safe box this time.
