Find the Right Shelf
Libraries put books in groups. Signs can show stories, history, travel, or easy reading. If you do not know where to look, ask a worker. You can say the kind of book or level you want.
Read Before You Choose
Open the book and read one page. Check the size of the words and the length of the chapters. A useful book should be interesting and not too hard. It is fine to put one back and try another.
Borrow the Book
Take the book and your library card to the desk or machine. The screen or worker will show the return date. Save that date in your phone or calendar. Keep the paper slip if the library gives you one.
Return or Renew
Bring the book back by the return date. If you need more time, ask if you can renew it. Some libraries let you do this online. Returning books on time keeps your account ready for the next book.
