Choose a Few Things
A simple breakfast does not need many foods. You can choose bread, fruit, yogurt, or an egg. Pick two or three things that you already have. Put them on the kitchen table before you begin. This keeps the job clear.
Start with the Slow Part
If you want tea or an egg, start that first. Water and eggs need a little time. While you wait, wash some fruit or put bread on a plate. Doing one slow job first can make the rest of the morning easier.
Sit Down to Eat
Put your phone away for a few minutes. Sit at the table and eat without rushing. Keep a glass of water near you. When you finish one thing, decide if you are still hungry before you take more.
Leave the Kitchen Ready
Put food back in its place. Wash your cup and plate, or place them by the sink. Wipe the table if it is dirty. A two-minute clean-up means the kitchen is ready when you come home later.
