Look Before You Write
Check the fridge, cupboard, and bathroom before you make a list. Empty boxes can make you think you still have something. Write only what is missing or what you plan to use soon.
Use Clear Names
Write “two red peppers” instead of only “food.” Add a size or number when it matters. Clear names help you choose quickly. If another person will shop, they can understand the list without calling you.
Make Small Groups
Put fruit and vegetables together. Make another group for bread, milk, or cleaning things. These groups can follow the parts of your usual shop. You will walk back and forth less often.
Check Items as You Shop
Mark each item when it goes into your basket. Before you pay, read the list one more time. If something is not available, choose whether you need a replacement. Keep the list for your next meal plan.
